Who has time to make a hearty and balanced breakfast in the morning on a busy workday? If we’re motivated, we may set 15-20 minutes aside to make a nice veggie omelette or some fruit pancakes topped with almonds and maple syrup. How about the times we need to rush out the door? Here is your answer!
This quick breakfast requires no work the morning of and just 5 minutes of prep work the night before. No cooking required – the oats and chia seeds will soak up moisture from the milk and yogurt overnight. A must try for the busy modern day person!
Ingredients (one serving)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup frozen or fresh berries
Directions
- Combine rolled oats, chia seeds, milk and yogurt in a mason jar or Tupperware container. Mix well.
- Mix in the maple syrup and cinnamon. Top with berries.
